Tuesday Moderate Ride – Tomorrow’s Ride is Canceled – Winter Hiatus Begins
Tomorrow’s temperature will be outside of my comfort zone until after lunch and getting my bike from my garage to a relatively clear street would be way too complicated, so tomorrow’s ride is canceled.
While we have not had an actual ride since November 4th, our winter hiatus is not scheduled to begin until tomorrow. The hiatus means that you should not expect a ride on Tuesday unless one is posted. Generally speaking, I will post a ride if the temperature is likely to climb above 32 relatively early in the ride, the roads are clear, and nothing cold or wet is expected to fall from the sky. I will be away this winter for a couple of weeks – floating around the Caribbean while listening to jazz. Also with my more relaxed winter standards, I will entertain better offers from my wife and granddaughter for Tuesday morning outings. When this happens, I’ll let a few of the usual suspects know so that they can post a ride if the spirit moves them.
It actually looks as if we may catch a break on the weather starting on Wednesday, so keep an eye out for a possible ride next Tuesday.
