Author Last Post
FYI If you can’t make it to Gillson that day you can always drop off donations for Working Bikes at Wheel and Sprocket on Davis.

Bike Walk Wilmette will collect used adult and kids bikes to donate to Working Bikes. Adult bikes must be in reparable condition (missing tires or other parts are ok). Kids bikes must be gently used.

Bike Walk Wilmette advocates for better biking, walking, and active transportation for all ages and abilities in Wilmette. We collaborate with the Village, Park District, and schools on issues relating to active transportation and support efforts to make biking and walking in Wilmette better, safer, and more fun.

Working Bikes, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, has distributed over 100,000 bikes in local and global communities since 1999. They provide donated bikes to low-income communities in Chicago. They also send repaired bikes to organizations in Africa and Central America, where they provide essential transportation for work and school.
